WWE cellular phone available in January
There is a new way for U.S. consumers to take Triple H, Kane, Brock Lesnar, The Rock with them wherever they go. World Wrestling Entertainment and Single Touch Interactive announced that they have signed an agreement giving WWE fans access to WWEs most popular Web content and applications on an easy-to-use cellular phone. The new WWE phones will be supported through the ALLTEL network, the nations sixth largest wireless carrier.
The WWE-themed easy-to use cellular phone, the Kyocera QCP 3225 (available in January 2003), will come preloaded with a vast array of applications developed completely for the WWE fan including:
· WWE News allows users to access the latest news, including WWE commentary, headlines and insider info via the Ross Report.
· WWE Superstars offers the chance to receive news and bios on WWE Superstars, as well as logos and Superstar images.
· WWE Sportones allows users to select their favorite Superstars Entrance Music as their ring tone. Featured WWE Superstars are The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Kane, Undertaker, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, and Chris Jericho.
Nationwide distribution will include WWE ShopZone (shopzone.wwe.com), the ALLTEL Web site, through Single Touch Interactives Web site as well as more than 400 major retail outlets starting January 2003. The phones will retail for $59.95-$79.95.
